The Gorge Zipline, located only 25 minutes from Awanita Valley in Saluda, NC., is the perfect place to take your group on a breathtaking Canopy tour in the North Carolina Mountains. 

 

The Gorge is the steepest and fastest zip line canopy tour in America, and has 11 zip lines spanning over 1.25 miles! 

 

This attraction lasts about 3.5 to 4 hours and is great for groups anywhere from 2-40! 

 

Transportation to and from The Gorge is the responsibility of each group.

Christian Retreats in South Carolina

The Lower Green is a great whitewater experience for everyone and the perfect place to bring your kids or hone your skills before plunging in the Upper Green. Your guide will point you in the right direction as you paddle through Class I-II rapids in your own inflatable Kayak.

 

Enjoy the scenery, but don’t forget to stop along the way for a swim in a deep, green pool or take a trip off a rope swing.

Lower Green River

If you are looking for a high-adventure, heart-pumping whitewater experience, this is it! One of the steepest commercially-run section of whitewater in the Southeast, the Upper Green consists of continuous Class II-III rapids and two Class IV’s. Green River Adventures is the only company to run trips on this beautiful wilderness section of the Green River, so get away from the crowds and experience something worth writing home about!

Transportation to and from Green River Adventures is the responsibility of each group.

Upper Green River

The Nantahala River offers family whitewater rafting trips on the most popular river in the USA! It is fun and exciting, but is family friendly, and does NOT require previous experience. The Nantahala is located in the scenic Nantahala National Forest near Bryson City, North Carolina, and near the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. The Nantahala offers almost continuous, fun and exciting class 2 and 3 whitewater on the famous 8 ½ mile stretch of river between the Beecher-town Power Plant and the take-out site located just prior to Fontana Lake.

Carolina Outfitters on the Nantahala is located approximately 2¼ hours from Awanita. Transportation will be the responsibility of each group.

 

Trip Options:

  • Nantahala Guided Raft Trip: A guide-in-boat raft trip is one in which a guide is in your boat during your trip down the Nantahala River. He/she will sit at the back of the raft & guide the boat.

  • Nantahala Guide Assisted Raft Trip: A guide assisted trip option is available for larger groups of 12 or more people, with one or more guide-in-boat rafts as part of their trip.

  • Nantahala Unguided Raft Trip: An Unguided raft trip is one in which we provide all equipment and transportation to and from the Nantahala River, and the rafters go down the river on their own without the assistance of a guide on the river itself.
